The "Ledge" is a short story, which I might extend depending on reviews of this one, about a teenage kid who saw in a dream a girl trying to kill herself. Some how some way he has to stop it.
I didn't get a chance to proof read this really good, so any mistakes point them out to me. View table of contents...

Ledge: Screams heard in the distance and echoes of cries below. The sun high above blinding me, the cold wind blowing past me sending shivers up my spin it was hazy with loud sounds just echoing in my ear. With the sun still shining in my eyes I see her, as she formed out of this blinding light. She was at the end of what appeared to be a roof.

I saw me talking to her, trying to comfort her. Yet the distress upon her face did not let up. She was determined that she would die. With each swaying moment, with the inaudible words spewing from my mouth, she seemed to be listening.

It appeared as if she is planning to step aside from the ledge, I was wrong. She spurred forward over the ledge, screaming and crying. The sound grew and grew, until its echo became a murmur. With a thud, revealing to be her ultimate demise, I woke up sweating. Everything in my bed was wheat from my sweat.

I could feel everything, her distress, and problems, the very weight of the world upon her, telling her that she didn’t belong and must die. It was just too much, the bullies and other kids, her parents, her siblings, and then that evil voice that would not shut u. I could tell this was the only way she new how to end it. . When she fell I could feel how much pain she was in before she died. Her bones shuttered and broken, her ribs puncturing her lunges, but the voice was gone, its taunting were all gone. She was free, and these last moments of life were the best she ever had. If only she could go on, living happy, and finally find her place in the world.

My eyes were red in the morning, and I had forgotten most of the details of my dream. It all just seem so farfetched and unrealistic to me. That one person could harbor all of this pain and resentment. It was just all too much for conceive. I began to wonder what I would have done in her place?

The epiphany to these questions never came, so I continued on with my day. The day slowly started to wind down, until lunch came. Then there was a high pitched screams from outside followed by loud murmur, like my dream.

The in tire lunch rushed outside like wild animals after a gun went off, and we all became aware of the horror above, the girl about to leap to her grave. The Pandemonium had over taken most of the kids and even a teacher. With this I remember the dream, and all its vivid details. I rushed into the side entrance, and ascended a flight of steps.

My heart was pounding with utter fear and confusion, and the fear was simply not from the pending life in my hands but my accuracy to foresee it. I cannot be certain if I can save her this time, but I can try, No I had to do more than try I knew, I had to do something more! What else could I do?

After ascending many steps I finally reached the roof. There she was drawing closer and closer to the end of the ledge. Without hesitation I ran towards her. The timing was of good accordance, if I had been even couple minutes later she would have been gone. She was even beginning to conceive the complete vastness of what she was doing.

When I drew up to her she shutter, with great detest. The tears falling from her eyes descended upon the ledge, her face as red as a cherry. I attempted to reason with her try to get her to understand. Sh disputed with a violent objection. The core of her being seem to grow more in pain with every word i spoke. It was apparent that she was determined to do this deed.

I tried everything I could think of to sway her from her impending doom. Still if she moved even an inch now she would lose her footing and descend. With great lick my persuasion, for her to come of the ledge seemed seem to take effect. She had a sense of sanity returned to her. She was beginning to back up with great sense of relief over cam me.

With the cruelty of fates' pressing hand her footing was lost. She began to fall. I pulled her onto the roof, with deem consequence.

To do this I need to be on the end of the ledge. With her wait entirely weighing upon me I fell. It was a quick descend below, I didn't have much time to think, I just fell. Then there was darkness.
