I stared at my reflection in the mirror, debating on whether I should gell my hair down, or not. If we kissed, then I wouldn't want it gelled incase she wanted to run her hands through it, like most girls did, because I had amazing, thick brown hair. I blinked my blue eyes, and ran my hand through my own hair. But what if I didn't gell it up and she thought I hadn't because I expected to get something from her.

I let out a loud sigh. I had never worried over a date before. I walked over to my closet, pulling my shirt off and flipping through the shirts now hanging up. After flipping through the many shirts about twelve times I finally settled on a black one, that was just big enough to be considered comfortable. I would have gone with a tighter one that showed my body off better, but if we were going to be watching movies I would want to be comfortable.

I looked over at the clock to see that it was nearly seven. I walked back over to my dresser spraying on some axe, taking one last look at myself in the mirror and smiling, then I grabbed my jacket and walked quickly down the stairs. "Mom?" I asked walking into the kitchen.

She was sitting there at the table, reading the newspaper. "I'll be starting supper soon" she said not looking up.

"Actually i'm going out" I said.

She looked up then. "Where to?" she asked.

"Skylars house, we're going to watch movies" I said pulling my keys from the key rack by the kitchen door.

She raised an eyebrow. "And will her parents be there?" she asked.

I rolled my eyes. "Why wouldn't they be?" I asked. I seriously had no idea if they would be or not, and I wouldn't mind if they weren't.

"Don't stay out to late" She called out after me as I walked quickly out of the room.

"I won't!" I called as I slammed the front door shut. I jumped into my truck and pulled out of the driveway, making my way quickly towards  Skylars  house.

It didn't take me very long to get to her house, and once there I sat in my truck, thinking about how lucky I was to be at her house at that moment, with a night of watching a romantic movie with the most beautiful girl ahead of me. It was now 7:10. So I was about 20 minutes early but I'm sure that didn't matter. I crawled out of my truck and jogged to her door, knocking twice.

The door swung open, to show Skylar, her hair halfway up, she was wearing a larger shirt, that looked like it was her dads or some other guys, and she was wearing some American Eagle pants. Her eyes widened. "James! You're early! I-" she stopped and grabbed her hair looking embarrassed.

"You look beautiful" I said stepping into her house, and kissing her lightly on the cheek.

"I was just about to fix the rest of my hair and then change shirts" she said, blushing even more.

"I'll wait if you want" I said as she shut the door behind us. She nodded. "The living room is right through there, I'll be right there" She said as she pointed towards  large sliding doors, before turning and rushing up the stairs.

I opened the doors and walked into a beautifully decorated living room. Light yellow walls, that gave it that comfortable feel, the fireplace off to the left, with a few recliners infront of it, then the large flat screen TV, sat infront of a very comfortable looking white couch. I sat down and just as I had imagined the couch was soft and I leaned back and sighed.

I was like that for a few moments before I heard the slidding doors slide open once again and I turned to see Skylar, her hair now flowing down straightly to her shoulders, and she now had a smaller shirt on, that was still at a comfortable size. She looked more beautiful than I ever remembered seeing her before. She wasn't wearing makeup and everything but she was just so naturally beautiful. She walked over to me and sat down. "My mom and dad are still here, they are about to leave, but they want to meet you first, they are waiting in my dads office" she said, a blush creeping along her cheeks again.

Meeting her parents already. Wow. I don't know about this. I stood up anyways. "Ok" I said lightly.

"It's just because they want to know who I am going to be spending a movie night with, Drey had to go through this to, when he came over for the first time" she said grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the slidding doors once again.

Skylars POV

I couldn't believe that James had shown up early! I had had my hair 1/3rd straightened. I mean how embarrassing, but he had been completly cool about it. I had to admit that I hadn't been giving him as much credit as he deserved. I could definetly see why so many girls had fallen for him before.

As I led him towards my fathers office, I snuck a glance over at him. He looked so damn hot tonight. His usually gelled hair was all over the top of his head, looking so soft and thick. His blue eyes shone as he looked down at our hands. Not to mention how good he looked in his black shirt.

I pulled my hand away from his and knocked on the large wooden door. "Daddy?" I asked.

"Come in sweetheart" I heard him say, and as I opened the door I was just in time to see him taking off his glasses and shutting a book. My mother sat infront of him, her hands folded at her knees and I walked over to her and placed my hands on hers.

"Mom this is James" I said turning around, and pulling him closer.

My mom stood up and turned to face him. She held out her hand, as he placed his in hers and stared at her glazed eyes as she smiled. "I see where Skylar gets her beauty from" James said.

My mother smiled again, as she reached out a hand and touched his face. "What a handsome young man you have here" she said.

My father stood up and walked around the desk grabbing James' hand and shaking it tightly. "So how are you son?" he asked.

James looked over at him. "Good Sir and you?" he asked.

"I'm good, you take care of my daugther now while we are gone" he said, eying me and then James.

James nodded. "Don't worry Sir" he said.

James' POV

I was so nervous as I shook Skylars fathers hand. This was her father after all, the guy that I had to make like me or it was all over between me and Skylar, before it had even started. He smiled and placed his hand on my shoulder. "Good man" he said, then he turned to Skylar and kissed her on the cheek. "Have a nice night, don't stay up to late, it may be a short week, but I still don't want you two here for to long. We will be gone till ten, but we might get home a little earlier" he said glancing at me as if in warning.

Skylar nodded. "Don't worry daddy" she said. She kissed her mothers cheek and then she stepped out of the way as her father took her mothers hand and they walked out of the office. Me and Skylar followed them out, shutting the door behind us, we walked them to the door and once they were out to the car I turned to Skylar.

"Your mom's blind?" I asked, surprised. I hadn't known that about her.

She nodded. "She just recently lost her eyesight. She loved to read, so my father still reads to her, they are on their way to a book club thing now" she said walking back towards the living room.

"Thats nice" I said following her. I sat down on the couch as she dug around in the DVD's until she came out with a blue case and hugged it to her chest.

"Don't get to emotional" she said with a devilish smile.

I rolled my eyes. "Don't worry about me" I said.

She put the movie on, turning off the lights, and then setting back down on the couch, tucking her legs up beneath her. She turned to me as the previews played. "You can take your shoes off, make yourself at home" she said staring down at my black Jordins.

We were right at the part where Noah's kids had come to see him at the nursing home, and by this time me and Skylar were laying under a warm blanket, the fire going, because it was 30 degrees outside. Skylar was staring at the screen intently, and  I couldn't keep my eyes off of her. The certain parts she laughed at, the parts that she looked lovingly at, and the parts that she looked sad at, I knew them all.

She stretched and pushed pause on the screen before turning to look at me. "Want something to drink?" she asked.

"Sure" I said stretching out my stiff legs.

She jumped up onto her legs, taking one step and then she started laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"My legs asleep" she said stomping it against the floor before walking the rest of the way out. I watched her leave, a smile on my face as I leaned back against the soft couch.

Moments later she was back with two ice cold glasses of what she said was Dr. Pepper. She snuggled back down, this time laying her head against my chest, and then started the show once again.

I could definetly get used to this.

It was getting close to the end, I knew it, he had read her the whole book so it couldn't last much longer. Then it showed doctors rushing him on a stretcher and the screen went blank. So that was the end? It wasn't very sad. But then the screen came back on, and I saw Noah making his way slowly out of the room, buttoning back up his shirt and he shuffled down the hallway.

I watched as the nurse pretty much gave him permission to go into Ally's room, and he went and laid down beside her. I watched as they held hands, Ally finally seeming to realize who he was. Then morning came, and the nurse came in to check on them, and they were both laying their peacefully. I heard Skylar sniffle and felt her move as she wiped her eyes.

It was sad. I finally got why it was so sad. Noah had loved Ally so much, and he had tried to get her to come back to him by reading her their story. She had every once in a while remembered, and then at the end she had, and then they had died together. Their love for each other was so strong. I put my hands under Skylars chin and lifted her face up to mine. "It's ok" I said, a single tear running down my face.

She smiled. "I told you you would cry" she said reaching up her hand and wiping the tear off of my cheek. I smiled and shrugged.

"Romance shows don't usually get me" I said as I wiped her own tears from her face.

She pulled away from me and sat up on the couch. "Well I didn't bring you here just to make you cry infront of me, so I have some other shows here, why don't you pick one and I'll go and make us some popcorn" she said standing up.

I pushed the covers off of us and stood up, grabbing her and pulling her around, close to my chest, my face just inches away from hers. "A funny show?" I asked her.

I could see that she had held her breath and then she nodded. "Whatever you want" she said.

I smiled, releasing her and then going over to the large stack of DVDs.

I looked down the large line, picking up my Dr. Pepper and taking a big drink just as my phone vibrated in my pocket. I jerked scared and spilled the drink all down the front of my shirt. "Damn" I hissed as I pulled my phone out of my pocket and flipped it open.

"Drey what do you want?" I asked annoyed.

"Whose over at Skylars house?" Drey asked in his silly Daffy Duck voice.

"Man shut up" I said smiling.

Drey laughed on the other line. "I just had to call and see if it were true dude, I guess you have this whole bet in the bag eh?" he asked.

"Yeah about that-" I started just as Skylar walked back into the room. I hung up the phone and slid it back into my pocket turning around to her. "I accidentally spilled my drink" I said, feeling the black fabric stick onto my body.

She nodded. "I can see that" she said walking over to me and surveying the carpet, luckily I hadn't gotten anything on it.

"I'll get you one of my dad's shirts and we will wash that one and dry it while we watch more shows" she said, walking out of the living room. I guessed  that I should follow her so I did. Once we were in the laundry room I pulled my shirt off and held it waiting for her to take it.

Skylars POV

I started the water in the washing machine and when I turned around, I gasped. James was standing there, without his shirt on, looking like a greek god, as he held out his shirt to me. He had such a nice smooth tan, his stomach so chisled. I stared in awe before taking the shirt and tearing myself away back to the washing machine as I threw it inside and shut the top.

I turned back to him, trying to keep my eyes off of his amazing arms, chest, abs, chest, abs, abs, chest, arms! I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the nearby bathroom, grabbing a rag and running it through the water. "Here wash all of the  Dr. Pepper  off, it must be sticky!" I said holding it out to him. "I'll go get you a shirt" I added. I wouldn't be able to take it much longer, him not having a shirt on that is! I was going to end up grabbing him and kissing the heck out of him. Maybe that wouldn't be so bad, but still!

I walked out into the hallway and was headed towards my parents room when Amanda stepped infront of me, looking at the closely following James. How great did this look? Me and James were headed to my parents room, and he didn't have his shirt on, my hair was messy from laying with him on the couch, and his hair was...well already messy. I straightened out my shirt as she cleared her throat.

"Well what do we have here?" she asked.
