SAMEERA – Well, well. Memories are a precious bundle that we dig deep into and come up with fond moments we have lived and want to relive. Those moments will never come back but then that is what memories are for. Sameera in her poem “i weep alone” remembers him and his memories are enough to suffice her. She is hopeless and grieving. But she can hear him…DREAMY

KITTYCAT – You are in a relationship but unfortunately there comes a time when you give in and say “we are BREAKING UP”. It can be tumultuous in any emotional set up. Kittycat has come up with a smart solution and a rhyming one too in her poem “bad endings”. Some break up with tears while she suggests plain humor. It couldn’t be any other way. PATCH UP!

ROYALISISTY – Today is Sunday and this could be the song going to the church. All faithful remember the words of God. For it is etched in our hearts. Aniah reminds us all of God’s words in her poem “your word”. It is such a power word that it keeps her warm at night, strong, loved and cared for and of course out of trouble. Let’s say AMEN.

CRAZEH – This is the one that will make your grey cells tick and ponder. Hmm. At least, I did think for sometime. Never mind. Crazeh in her short story “home sweet home” has a lovely family of Jack Bauer, his wife Aubrianna and their daughter Lucy living in a palatial mansion. Jack is unwell and is taken care of by his wife. He has a dream…INTERPRET!

EVELINA – So, you do like biting, piercing and needling humor. This is no weapon of mass destruction (WMD) and no war is going on but it is a weapon and it is being used to... Evelina in her article “weapon of destruction” practices the art of using the scissors on her sister’s and mom’s clothes and her own hair in a very talented and MISCHIEVOUS way.

ZIGGS123 – We all come across interesting authors and equally interesting books that scream to be reviewed. Ziggs too couldn’t escape the call of reviewing. In her book review of “holes by louis sachar (review)”, she retells the story of Stanley Yelnats, who is unfortunate enough to land up in a correctional center. The warden there asks everyone to dig holes. But why? Find out. INTERESTING.

THE LAST PAIR OF SKINNY JEANS – When in school, we all have had our fair share of crushes. Not always resulting in dates or getting positive signal but we have definitely gone beetroot red in someone’s presence. TLPOSJ in her short story “crushing on him” has Anne, who is tomboyish and has a crush on Nick but he likes skimpily-clad Nicole. Anne bumps into a new guy and both fall in…LOVE!

FISHERS64 – This is quite an unusual story. But then, that is what evokes interest and curiosity in a reader. Fishers in her novel “secrets of cathedral mountain” has Jessica Perry, a conjoined twin, who has undergone an operation to separate the twins. But she soon comes to know that her twin sister is dead. More than a decade later she meets Catherine and things start to happen. WHOA!

SCRIBBLINGS OF A MIDDLE AGED MAD MAN – Have you seen the lake bathed in the silvery light of the moon. Mysterious eh! Equally mysterious is Philip’s poem “a lake of mercury”. A soul is crying for help but in vain. She drinks deep from the lake and it becomes her passage to death. Lying on the floor bed with her wide open, she rests eternally. All her worries too end there. PATHOS

SISTER SABBAY – She spreads God’s word but she is a writer and interested in US politics too. If Aniah can spread God’s word can Sister Sabbay be left behind? In her essay “adventistwheat.com: a vote for god’s administration” she makes a scathing comment on present day politicians, who are slandering each other. But Jesus ruled spreading peace. There lies the difference worth emulating. A life’s eternal LESSON

(Well, well. This week’s joke is a light political satire. With another two days to go for the elections, there is nothing much of use that can be said here. )

Bayh was born with a tiny silver spoon in his mouth. Obama had a tiny silver spoon on his neck chain.

They both have secret pasts. Obama's past is secret because he shredded the records. Bayh's is secret because nobody cares.
